In the days leading up to the 1960 Presidential Debate, Nixon campaigned furiously.
JFK took a few days by the pool, with his family and his debate notes.

Nixon came off as tired and curmungenly in the debate, while JFK batted away concerns about his candidacy, and strengthened his chances.

I'm not about to lose my head over Biden taking a few days to prepare. Given how different this year has become, thanks to COVID, there's a good chance that the debates will become more important than ever. I'd take a good debate performance over a couple of interviews/speeches anyday.

Yes. Of the two candidates in this election, the one we should be concerned about is the one giving speeches, travelling the country, and taking the odd day off to conserve his energy./s
