Governor Phil Bredesen Announcement in Nashville, TN (July 5th, 2003)

"Hello, Nashville. I want to thank you for letting me governor of Tennessee for a year already. It's been an honor to hold this position and I want to thank each and every one of you for entrusting me with this job. Already, Tennessee has shown great progress. If there is ever an Economic recession in the Nation, our state will be ready thanks for what all of us have worked for. Now, I want to talk about our President. He has failed in a majority of the things he has done so far and unemployment is at an all-time high. That doesn't sound like something America needs for it's leader. That's why I'm announcing that I'll be running for the Democratic Nomination of 2004 against Current President Al Gore. I hope to meet every one of you on the Campaign trail and if you ever want to ask me something, my phone number is always open.

TBH, I don't think anyone should. Gore would've taken a lesson from George H.W. Bush and stay away from a Republican landslide.

Nah, we need Gore. His scenario right now is like a Obama 2012 scenario.
Besides, don't you want some competition?

Maybe Sanders. A Conservative v A Socialist, that's a war for the party there

I asked the moderator the same question and he told me that people like Rep. wxtransit would be interested in entering the game. Let's hope that they will announce their candidacies soon enough.

Let's pray. Until then, why does GoTFan always choose Feingold? I'm curious

Feingold vs. Bredesen would be fun but hoping someone chooses Gore so I have someone to attack:)

I agree that Feingold v Bredesen would be fun as it's the classic Progressive vs Conservative

I guess you can, just state your candidate and what party you would be running in and wait for the Mod to respond.

Phil Bredesen Attack Ad on Al Gore labeled 'The Lockbox'

President Gore

In the 2000 debates with George W. Bush, you spoke of a Lockbox

You promised to put Healthcare, Education, and Taxes in said lockbox. Mr. President, how has that Lockbox worked out for you?

You surely put Fossil Fuels in the lockbox, keeping millions of people out of a job.

So, Mr. President, how's that lockbox with failed education, Economic, and Healthcare policies going for you?

I'm Phil Bredesen and I endorse this message

Wait did Reagan know what was going on in 2003?

I don't think so. He died in 04, so it's best to not have his Endorsement count.

Agreed. Unfortunately he was too dementied

Okay, it won't count. At least I have Nancy Reagan's endorsement.

If you Haven't had him as an endorsement already, you can have George H. W. Bush to replace Reagan

It could be, especially if Jeb remains absent on the campaign trail. After all, Bush was Reagan's Vice-President.
Cheney already has Bush, I checked.

I'll continue posting my schedule after the 1st republican debate
