Some people I've seen online say that Ukrainians need to take a page out of Chechnya's book and make it a living hell for Russia to try and occupy the nation. It'd be a massive undertaking to try and beat them into submission.

Finland and Sweden are more than welcome to change their minds and officially join NATO...

Russia can't invade everyone at once, I'd fast-track that sh*t rn

There were some left over from the Soviet era but I believe Russia took them back post '91.
they gave them back under the sort of idea that what's happening now wouldn't happen.

Ukrainians apparently knocked the dragon’s teeth near Verbove too. Robotyne is being surrounded
You said a few weeks ago Andriivka and Klischiivka was a day away from collpasing, so who knows what this is supposed to mean.

It’s a tough night for you and your master. I know. Get yourself some NyQuil and call it an early night there tovarish
I'm not a part of the Russian Armed Forces.
I seriously hope you're at least getting paid for this because if not it's sad

It's a very strange way, putting all the chips on the first line of defense.

Yeah, that's very unorthodox. Even some ancient armies kept their most experienced troops in reserve in case the new troops couldn't hold

Putin has given condolences to Prigozhin's family.

Next, he will order a state funeral, with all flags ordered lowered to half staff. At the funeral, he will be the first coffin bearer, posthumously award Prigozhin a medal, and then make the eulogy.

Following that, Putin will order lots of public buildings and places to be named after Prigozhin.

totally not trying to cover even though anyone with 3 brain cells can see what happened

I find western panic pieces (regardless if they are in favor or against more aid to Ukraine) about the war in Ukraine annoyingly sensationalist, when all indicators point to a mostly static prolonged war of attrition.

Amen to that - there was one screeching recently that RUSSIA IS ON THE BRINK OF TOTAL VICTORY.

At the very least such claims need some, you know, reasonably convincing actual evidence.

Budanov agrees: "on GUR activities behind enemy lines: “We do not foresee any drastic changes in the near future. Everything we have done, we will continue to do.”

Ukraine’s war prospects: “To say that everything is fine is not true. To say that there is a catastrophe is also not true.”"

in the end a stalemate is still a loss for Russia. I remember a lot of people making comparisons to Afghanistan and I think that's a reasonable comparison. It's a constant drain for them for little gain at this point.

The stalemate is slowly breaking as there are cracks in the Ukrainian positions. Look at Avdiivka and the Kupiansk direction.
people were saying the same things about Bakhmut. I don't see a reason to think this is different.

Last month was the worst month for Ukraine in terms of net change of territory since January 2023.

the fact that Ukraine losing 2 ten-thousandths of their land is the worst month for them in over a year kinda shows that this isn't ending in Russia's favor anytime soon.
