This was an idea I threw out there a while ago and I got some positive feedback regarding it so I figure its worth trying out. Since this is the first year, we will start small. I figure I will leave the nomination voting open for a couple of weeks... depending on how many people participate. Feel free to campaign if you want.

Try to pick three posters for each category (you don't have to put three if you can't think of that many though). The three posters who get the most votes in each category will be nominated. Posters are allowed to be nominated for multiple awards. You can nominate yourself if you truly feel you deserve to be nominated in a category.

1. Best Overall Poster of the Year?

2. Funniest Poster of the Year?*

3. Troll of the Year?

4. Most Influential Poster of the Year?

5. Most Enthusiastic Poster of the Year?

6. Most Cynical Poster of the Year?

7. Angriest Poster of the Year?

8. Rivalry of the Year?**

9. Best Newbie?***

10. Atlas Hall of Fame****

* You can nominate people who are intentionally funny or unintentionally funny.

** You must must nominate sets of two people (Example: BRTD vs. Waltermitty)

*** Poster must have under 3000 posts.

**** Poster must have at least 10,000 posts and has to have been here for at least two years.

CHANGES CAN BE MADE TO YOUR VOTES UNTIL I CLOSE VOTING A COUPLE WEEKS FROM NOW.

To get into the Hall of Fame, you should need 10,000 posts, IMHO.

Its funny... I had that at first but then Dave wouldn't even be able to get in.

Update: You know I think you are right. If someone wants to vote for Dave we will just make an exception for him.

Dave is God.  The Hall of Fame is a step down for him.

I changed it to 10,000.

what I meant was that most of the people worthy of the positions have already been nominated, thus giving few people for me to add to the list, as repetition is unecessary in the nomination process.

No it isn't. The three people with the most votes in each category get nominated and then we do the voting for the actual winners of each category.

4. Most Influential Poster of the Year?

Dave, Alcon, Gabu

I didn't know anyone even cared about me, let alone was influenced by me. Tongue

It would be difficult for you not to be influential. You post... a lot.

I just changed a few votes myself. Harry and Sensei (fellow humble man) needed some representation in my votes.

I call for a boycott of these awards should attention-whore RobertStark make the final nod. Smiley

Can you honestly say he doesn't deserve to be nominated for troll of the year?

He pales in comparison to more famous trolls. He's a Don Bluth to the Walt Disney's on here Smiley

Who would you cite as better trolls?

No, for a humble man does not have party time. In the time he would otherwise use for parties, he studies humbleness.

Quietly in a room with a moderate lighting system.

In a week or so. I want some more votes first.

You are limited to three votes on each Stark and you don't have anywhere near the amount of posts you would need to be nominated for the Hall of Fame.

I said I would start counting votes, I didn't say when I would finish. Wink

I got kind of busy this week. I appreciate your enthusiasm though!
