Lamont-60
Lieberman-39

Liberman either drops the independant bid or loses the support of most of the Democratic establishment and gets destroyed by Lamont in November.

I'd love to predict Lieberman 99 - Lamont 1 Smiley

Dave

Yep Liebs deserves a reward for that highly successful war he helped start to apparently fight the terrorists who caused 9/11. Maybe we should have invaded the White House.

Me too, Lieberman is milking the fact that his "strong on security" ass couldn't secure a webserver for all its worth. If someone other than Lieberman took down the site, they should have realized that this would really help Lieberman.

I'm sorry but does anyone really care about that? Anyone who votes either way based on that needs their head checked out.

Polls close at 8 PM. Eastern Time and I'm sure Chris Matthews will be babbling about the results on MSNBC for much of the night. Small towns should start coming in first, then big cities a few hours later. Before the end of the night we should know who won unless it is really, really close.

So you don't care how secure you are? You support Lamont so I guess you don't, if he had his way Iraq would be destroyed by terrorists and the US would be in more danger than it is now.

Instead of bothering to rip apart this absurd comment, I will simply point out that I was referring to people coming out and voting for or against Liberman based on the fact that his website is down.

The "ripping apart" would be saying I'm wrong and how you're right. Not much that can come out of that.

Yes much like you did...only it wasn't what I was talking about.

From the "take it for what it's worth" pile

http://mydd.com/

reports low turnout in cities allegedly favoring Lamont.

I thought the cities were favoring Lieberman and the small town were favoring Lamont.

Does anybody have a link to a real-time results page?

Yeah I was wondering the same thing. I'm guessing Politicalwire.com or Dailykos.com will have a link to it at 8 PM. I want to watch the results as they come in myself.

I guess there won't be much chance of pushing Joe out the general with the closeness of the margin. I still think he'll lose. Lets see who Schumer supports.

It's probably over.

93.9% reporting

Lamont 51.7%
Lieberman 48.3%

Yep, Hartford just came in.  51%-48% Lamont.

The death knell.

I'm thinking Lamont will end up winning by a comfortable margin. He'll be able to call on everyone he did in the primary plus all of the big guns like the Clintons, Dodd, Schumer, Bayh, Feingold, Gore, etc.
