For the Yanks among us, CSPAN-3 will be simulcasting the BBC coverage commencing at 4:55 pm EST for several hours. Enjoy.

I'll have to watch it online.  I don't get C-SPAN 3 in my apartment (and they got rid of C-SPAN 2 recently too).

Inks, you might consider "stickying" my post so folks can find the link easily, or put up the link yourself, or if you can't do it because it is not a board that you moderate, suggest it to the mods that do. Thanks.

I've asked Al to do it.

A couple helpful links:  http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/shared/election2010/liveevent (the BBC also has live video on that website as well as a counter)

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/politics/2432632/UK-General-Election-2010-political-map.html (The Telegraph has a map for their coverage)

I'm skeptical of the exit poll - I don't see the Liberal Democrats losing seats.

Teresa, it may be a rejection of Gordon Brown, but it's not an endorsement of you...

Agreed - but she has to say that as a talking point.

What does St. Silver know about British elections and that stuff?

Not that much, it seems...

He's merely putting it into a model.  And models can be wrong - he's just using poll data, which, if the poll is flawed, so will his model be.

ConservativeHome editor Tim Montgomerie says some Tories expect a better result than the poll.

Of course - both the Tories and the Lib Dems do.

An 8.4% swing would give the Tories an overall majority if it was repeated nationwide.

But according to the poll, it's not.  However, I don't believe the poll (although that's more based on its projection of losses for the Liberal Democrats).

Remember that the exit poll doesn't cover postal votes.

Which is one of the things that the Liberal Democrats keep talking about - saying that most postal votes came in while they were at their peak.

Substitute "Another" for "Slightly revised version of the same skeptical exit poll released the first time" please.

Sorry - I thought it was a different one.  Why did they "revise" an exit poll?Huh
