It controls the out-of-control breeding of humanity, which is fine for me.
The less humanity breeds, the better for the planet.
Then go help the planet by getting a vasectomy. 
More seriously, this is one of those issues where people oft wish others would do it, but have no intention of doing it themselves. (Not that I have any reason to think you are such a person.)
That would only be a waste of money, because I don't intend to ever have kids. My brothers and sister already have a few kids, so I don't need to contribute to world population growth ...
