Good job, Mr. President.  I thought the court came to the wrong conclusion, and Justice Opebo refused to explain his ruling when I asked.

That isn't strictly accurate.  I told you that you had not the right to an explanation, but it was as it appeared - the argument of the prosecution was the one that I accepted.

Best Wishes, Mr. Chief Justice.  It has been an honor to serve with you.

Are we on the topic of the Supreme Court? Old quotes time!

I can't say that I have any faith in opebo or Texasgurl to uphold the laws of our Region (much less Atlasia).

Hah!

Even though I feel sad to see bullmoose go, he has a point about change - it is exciting!  Who might the new Justice be?  Its an intriguing development in Atlasian politics.  Will the balance of the Court change?  I'll be sitting on the edge of my seat.

When will we hear more about this process?  Mr. President?

I'm very curious who will be nominated, obviously.  If I had to hazard a guess the nominee will be centrist to center-left, replacing our center-right current CJ.  But you never know with these things.

Hopefully by today or tomorrow. It is, as I hope you'll all understand, a really difficult decision, and without a doubt the hardest I've had to make as President.

Just be careful Mr. President, or there'll be a new Senate seated by the time confirmation rolls around.

I just returned after a two day absence to find these Presidential actions under the Christmas tree.  I believe we on the Court have a responsibility to refrain from direct commentary upon any nomination, and I further believe that any negative comment is potentially detrimental to the future operation of the court, as well as an unconscionable attempt to influence the process.

Let us simply take the good with the bad, and keep our counsel.
