Even Opebo opposes race based affirmative action.  The Democratic party needs to ditch this stupid platform plank.

Well, it does seem a little intrusive to me, and at times counterproductive due to working class white resentment and a perceived devaluation of black 'acheivement', but one must admit is has done a lot of good for blacks - in fact for them it is one of the few bright spots of the last 20-30 years.

I certainly don't mind if it is continued, however generous welfare, free health care and education, as well as some form of reparations would work as well.

I support merit-based affirmative action, and oppose every other kind.

In fact the education and connections that lead to employment are purchasable depending upon your parent's class.  Merit in the sense of aptitute or personal responsibiliity has little to do with it.
