This thread...wow.

First of all, it's been incredibly obvious that he was running for a while now. Just "Bernie is running" shouldn't have been news to anyone. So people are basically just using it as an excuse to sling mud in every damn direction.

I’m sorry GoTfan but no the threads attacking Kamala over truancy jailing when dozens of other states and their AGs do the same, calling her “the anointed one”, or attacking her over Trump giving her 8 grand back in 2013 when he did that all the time and also in the world of political donations that isn’t a lot are not legitimate at all and are just people who don’t like her (mainly Berniebros sadly) finding an excuse to rip on her
The exact same could be said for the anti bernie crowd

Yeah lol. The hardcore Kamalers have literally been acting like Bernie is a homophobic, racist card-carrying NRA member or something.

Bernie got owned!

Of course, this tweet has 0 context, which I shall provide.

1. We dont actually have the crowd size yet, which is to be reported tomorrow. The number used(13K) is an estimate made by Buzzfeed. Other groups have estimated 19K, 15K, and 25K.
https://heavy.com/news/2019/03/bernie-sanders-brooklyn-rally-crowd-size-photos-how-many/

2. The rally was held after a snowstorm.

3. This is just my opinion, but it seems disingenuous to only use the population of Oakland, and then use the population for the NYC area. The bay Area has around 9 Million people.

Anyway, this is, of course, a really flawed comparison. Especially considering Sanders is hosting his rally in a state he lost in 2016, whereas Harris is holding it in her own homestate.

Zaybay does have a point with the last one. Lots of people from all over the Bay Area (population 7 million) went to Harris’ rally. And the Bay Area is literally Harris’ home base of support. New York City isn’t really that for Sanders.

If we are going to do whataboutism then it should be stated that anyone who declared Hillary Clinton unfit for passing out due to pneumonia but is giving Sanders on free pass for a shower fall is being a hypocrite.

The people who declared Clinton unfit were Republicans, so...

Sanders to do a town hall event on Fox News Channel on April 15th:

https://apnews.com/5293e120a4904736b2a51d01cdbb08f8

Quote
Fox News Channel says Bernie Sanders will appear on the network for a town hall event on April 15, the first Democrat to venture onto Fox for this type of an event in the current presidential campaign cycle.

Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum will co-anchor the town hall, which will be held in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. It will focus on the economy and jobs.

Good for him. Bernie continues to impress.

Of course you'll say that. You are a Republican.  Try speaking to a member of the base and sympathize our anger at him for pandering to racist Trump voters. I guess everyone didn't listen when I made the assumption of Bernie modeling Trump's coalition and platform of 2016.

To be fair, Beto also has something of a cult forming as well.

But I'm not allowed to talk about that.

Beto, Harris, and Sanders are all cultish to a degree.

Biden is sort of the total opposite - a large part of his base seems to be the apathetic and he’s floating on name ref/general goodwill.

Or, maybe he understands better than the DNC how “swing voters” think, and that refusing to appear on Fox is a terrible look for Democrats, and doesn’t limit the power of Fox or dissuade viewers in any way. In fact, it could easily backfire. The DNC seems to have learned nothing from 2016, and seem like they would rather lose playing by the old rules than win by trying to modify their strategy.

Fox News viewers are the antithesis of swing voters. I remember a presidential exit poll a few years ago showed that Fox News viewers were the most loyal Republican voting bloc, more than conservatives or registered Republicans.
But if Sanders thinks he can sway these voters by talking about Wall Street and big banks, bless his heart.

You're missing my point. I didn't say Fox viewers were swing voters. When "swing voters" see Democrats refusing to go on Fox, they they "wow, I guess Trump/the conservatives were right. Democrats are weak PC SJW triggered snowflakes that can't handle a difference of opinion. Trump is strong, I'll vote for him." Whereas if Sanders show up on Fox (this is not "promoting" the channel, and he's not the only Democrat to do so), they'll think "Bernie is authentic, and he'll talk to anyone. I'll vote for him!" Is that a rational or intelligent way to decide how to vote for someone? No, but that's how a lot of swing voters think, and the sooner Democrats realize this, the better.

How many times has Trump gone to MSNBC?
To CNN?
Nobody thinks the way you say. Everyone who isn't a die-hard Republican partisan knows for years now that Fox isn't a legitimate news channel but the propaganda arm of the Republican party.

Plenty of people think the way I say. There are virtually no mythical moderate swing voters who will vote for the candidate they think has the most detailed policies and agenda and is the most moderate. Swing voters vote based on emotion and how a candidate makes them feel. Even if some swing voters know what Fox is, they'll still think a Democrat is weak for not going on Fox. They don't hold Trump to the same standard.

Yeah, the double standard on this sh*t is sadly not limited to Republican partisans.

The last ten years of Sanders' tax returns will be released on the fifteenth; Sanders challenges Trump to do the same:

What a leader! Can't wait to call this man our next President.

Only after three other candidates released theirs and after 4 years of pressure. What a leader! SLAY daddy Bernie 👏🏻👏🏻😩😩👌🏻👌🏻

Uh lmao hasn’t Harris not released hers either?

I'm sorry, I "agree" with Bernie Sanders on almost everything, but I cannot stand him. The problem is that his supporters are absolutely hideous. At this point I'll even take Joe Biden over him.

Can't be much of a progressive if you'll support Biden over Sanders.

Not necessarily so. I consider myself more ideologically aligned with Sanders but I think Biden would be more effective as both a candidate and a president. That's not inconsistent.

Considering that Biden is one of the most moderate Democrats that could jump in, It's not a principled stand. It makes you look like  weather vane.

Get off your high horse. Preferring someone who can get results over someone who is all talk, that's called common logic.

What ‘results’ does Biden even want to get?

Sanders officially endorsing Newman over Lipinski.

It's his first congressional endorsement of the cycle. Third presidential candidate to back Newman after Gillibrand and Inslee.

The overwhelming majority of the world's pollution comes from just a few major corporations

This stat has been bandied about in far-left circles a lot lately, but it's extremely misleading.

Yes, Saudi Aramco is "responsible" for a lot of the world's pollution if you attribute all the pollution caused by the oil they produce to them.  But in reality, they produce oil, and it's used by millions of people.  The socialists like to blame everything on corporations and absolve the proletariat from responsibility or accountability.  But in reality, if you drive a car, it's your fault for polluting, not Saudi Aramco's for drilling the oil that turned into gasoline for your car.

It's actually the fault of oil and car lobbyists routinely killing any chance of decent public transportation as well as cities being planned and zoned around car usage...
