Don't care for how this ad makes no real effort to distinguish between the Chinese government and the Chinese people. Of course you can say "criticizing the Chinese government isn't racist!" and you would be correct, but frankly most Americans aren't gonna think of it that way, which is why hate crimes against Asians have dramatically risen lately. This ad is irresponsible.

Yeah, I have to agree with this. It wouldn't really take away from the ad to replace all instances of "China" with "China's government", "the government of China", "Chinese President Xi", etc.

Disagree. We can’t let the language police win this one — for Biden to effectively attack Trump’s weakness on China, he must use clear and understandable terms and symbolism. This ad does that.

I mean I would probably focus on Trump wasting two months by denying it, especially since Biden has already made ads around that angle. Saying "Chinese government" doesn't ruin the message either.

Also this is bigger than "mean words hurt my feelings!" but I think you know that.
