My position is similar to Calthrina's. I'm extremely skeptical of Reade's claims, but I'm disturbed by how quickly red avatars here have jumped to "she's a politically motivated lying whore", a tack they would absolutely condemn if republicans were saying that about Ford, or anyone else that accused a republican of sexual misconduct. Starting to feel a bit MAGA-like.

If anyone is to blame, it is the Bernie people as well. The Democratic Party shouldn't have allowed that man to run in 2016 and 2020. He is an interloper with weird personality types who push these stories. He is an example of a entitled white man.

Imagine that there was a period of time when this clown was considered a leading voice of American progressivism.

Pre-Snowden Greenwald was pretty good, all things considered. I think he's gone off the deep end and it's sad, though the same could be said off the people who think he's a Useful Idiot for the Kremlin (if not paid by Putin himself!).

There is no doubt in my mind that the guy is funded by Putin. I can't explain otherwise how a gay man, who ostensibly cares so much about civil liberties and freedom of expression, has such a boner for a dictator who criminalized homosexuality and routinely assassinates dissidents.

Ok I understand not liking Greenwald but people calling everyone with different opinions a Russian agent is getting grating.

Who said he is an agent? He is a useful idiot. Putin also funded Golden Dawn in Greece and National Front in France, and nobody ever said that Mihaloliakos or Marine LePen were Russian agents.

I was thinking about this and the Obama endorsement. I don't think Obama would have endorsed so full-throatedly as he did if he wasn't positive this wouldn't damage his legacy. He knows that it's going to be clear who is telling the truth in the end.

Obama is someone who cares about his legacy more than anything. I have a feeling (and I may be wrong) that he probably looked into this case independently and thinks its a dud (whether or not he has information that we don't is a separate matter, of course).

I get your point, and I'm guessing that they (Obama and Pelosi) probably don't think much of the accusation. I guess my point is that unless this totally tumbled into a situation where multiple accusers came out they would endorse Biden no matter what.
