Let people deregister, I see no reason to force someone on the voter rolls against their will. A ban would be utterly pointless because deregistering does no harm to the game, the drama queens who rage quit because they lost an election are going to be drama queens, a dereg ban wouldn't solve that, it would just simply move their whining from the New Register Thread to its own dedicated thread.

And regarding the "What's wrong with just deleting campaign PMs?" point, I don't get why we should still go out of our way to inconvenience people with messages about a game they want nothing to do with. It's all just a hassle that could simply be solved by one post in the registration thread followed by two clicks on Peebs' mouse.

I agree with this, I'm not convinced that deregistration does any actual harm that creates a NEED to change the law. Let people do what they want.

I also agree with this. We don't need any more unnecessary regulations.

De-registration should not be allowed, I agree with the others who have said that. It's extra complications for no reason and people should just be allowed to fall off the voter rolls eventually.

And for future reference, some of us are trying to play a game over here, so if you or someone you know is planning to quit playing, then please don't make commitments to your fellow players like running for a major office!

Not wanting to get spam PM's is reason enough to allow deregistering. It's better to have voter rolls full of people who want to vote than to have voter rolls with people who don't want to vote. It's also nice to keep track of who is actually active in the game.

Plus, why add unnecessary regulations just for the hell of it? This really isn't that big of a problem, so why make changes that could create more problems?
