Would be great for him to run and reject Trumpism, but he'd burn out quickly. There's states where Corker would do better in a Dem primary than in a GOP primary, which says it all in such a polarized environment.

Gaetz would be a very weak GE candidate. What are his foreign policy credentials? He'd be the Republican version of Dukakis and would lose unless Biden manages to maintain horrendous approvals.

I'm sure the Republicans in the Senate who voted to acquit Trump are going to be thrilled to find out his political career isn't even close to being finished. This was always going to happen, and it's going to be an absolutely brutal election cycle.
