Beto's shift to the left isn't gonna win him swing voters, Cruz will win by 6 points.

This notion that swing voters are wise and thoughtful centrists is one that needs to be dispelled.

When somebody equates undecided voters with smart, critical thinkers, I always think of this SNL sketch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KAG37Kw1-aw

I like the top comment under that video cause it is so accurate:
It's like after the Brexit vote; the next day, the most googled question was "what is the EU?" Grin

O'Rourke said on the show (at 5:34) that "they" (whoever that is) traveled all 254 counties of Texas.
Is that even possible, or is it just a saying?

O'Rourke's campaign absolutely has visited all 254 counties. It's something you can do when you're running in one state for a year and a half.

A lot of West Texas counties are, like, one town of under a thousand people separated 20-25 miles from the next one, so you can hit quite a few of them on one bus trip.

Oh, thanks! I didn't expect an answer from anyone anymore. Tongue
If a Democrat wants to win statewide, I think they have to canvass in every single county. It will be those tiny counties that will turn the balance. However it's very expensive (think of all that gasoline), time-consuming and arduous - which you can see by reference to his shirt. 😅

Can anyone think of Cruz supporters embracing a sweaty Rafael? Mock

Basically the least authentic thing Beto could do if he wanted to ruin his well-earned reputation for authenticity would be to attack Cruz for not wearing a cowboy hat more often.
I kind of wish Beto would be a bit dirtier with the "not a true Texan" angle of Cruz. For example, here is the sole picture I could find of Ted Cruz in a cowboy hat:

🤣🤣🤣
Those two photos remind me of this 😂:
