How did the ILGOP lose Chicagoland suburbs? They couldn't run ads about Officer Golden's ailments to rouse votes in DuPage?



The Collar Counties have become more diverse in the last several decades - for many decades they were very white and conservative, but that stopped being the case after the mid-2000s or so. Now, there is only one remaining reliably red Collar County - McHenry - but I think if current trends continue, it, too, will become a reliably blue county within another generation, if not sooner.
