Of course, O'Rourke isn't even the strongest Democratic candidate for so many reasons. It'll be fun watching Cruz still win by about 10 or so. Remember, sharing the ballot with Abbott and the Straight R option help, too.
This argument is very debatable. I've heard from most people that Beto is the better option compared from Castro. Team Cruz was expecting a run from Castro, even after the announcement from O'Rourke they were tempting castro on twitter, meaning they spent all that time digging up dirt to only realize they had to start over maybe?
I personally would say Beto is the better option in comparison from Castro

That's a lot of money in one month:

Ok yeah Beto is definitely going to beat Cruz in money, question is if his message will resonate in the Suburbs of TX.

He will do better than Hillary in the suburbs/urban areas of TX. The question is how much better? Rural TX is probably not swinging much at all to Beto given how polarized it is (it isn't like rural WI).

Beto is likely winning the money race for money going directly to candidates, but will definitely loose the outside expenditures, by a lot especially since he refuses pac money. Outside spending is signifigant for TV advertisements.

I mean Ann Kirkpatrick outraged John McCain a for a couple financial quarters from what I remember(which should not have happened given McCain's name rec and prestige) however McCain got tons in outside spending, he's outside groups spent something like 10 million against Kelli Ward to paint her as a conspiracist.

I love Beto.
The only problem with digital ads is 99% of people on YouTube skip them after 5 seconds.

If beto wins people will want him to run in the next presidential election thats open for the dems after 2020

He would literally be a senator for 3 months before running for president, has anything of that sort happened before??

Also hard to believe(but also not really) that a year from today we will pretty much already be familiar with the entire 2020 democratic field

In Regards to Beto Fundraising-
Dems in texas arent unable to fundraise, I mean wasnt Wendy Davis able to raise over 30 million in her campaign, which is a lot for any campaign anywhere. But apparently Beto raised what she did in one quarter which is nuts.

What does a candidate spend this much money on?
-he should donate some to heidi lol

Given this and Wendy Davis fundraising numbers, I think its safe to say texas dems are willing to open their wallets even when they know they will loose.
