Some idle thoughts: assuming this report is true, the number of people aware of this must have been very small.  I wonder who leaked it to CNN, and what their motivation was?  Could it be a deliberate leak on a Friday night to make people sweat and possibly do something stupid over the weekend?

I just read a report where it's someone even lower than Manafort.

So it may not even be Manafort.

ahugecat is clearly losing it right now.

Implying ahugecat has ever had "it" is, at best, foolhardy.

Hopefully it'll be a fun surprise, like Eric or Kellyanne!

I haven't been following this closely, but do we know for sure whether these charges are for Trump or Clinton officials?

This is your brain on FOX News.

Honestly, when I hear 'Russia', I tend to tune out so I know none of the details of the investigation, but I was watching FOX the other night and they seemed to really believe that it might be Hillary?  Whatever the outcome is, I want this Russia stuff to go away- it's just the most boring scandal ever!

Yeah, let's focus on something exciting, like Benghazi for the 17th time.

How so?  The fact that Mueller immediately removed Strzok makes it clear that he's conducting the investigation in a fair, neutral, partisanship-free manner.

My question is, how come the "deep state" as some 48% of the country believes, is so hell bent on taking down Donald Trump?

I mean, is it some sort of conspiratorial type thing? What I mean by that is, you have people like Jay Carney, who works in Obama's White House, but he's married to Claire Shipman, who is currently the national correspondent for ABC's Good Morning America.

Is it that? Are these people all overly college educated and super politically correct and all marrying and screwing each other and hanging out at the same clubs and stuff? Is it an elite thing? Or do they see their political established globalist agenda in jeopardy? I don't quite understand.

I mean, I detested Obama's politics, and I never voted for him even though most of my family did. But when he won, he won. Now, trying to block something legislatively, that's one thing. But to try and undo the will of the voters, is quite another. Like that idiot Roy Moore not conceding a legitimate election last night.

I don't understand where the vitriol is coming from.

Because he's a despicable human being who tries to ban muslims, trans people from the military, endorses pedos for politcal reasons, and promotes racism all while showing contempt toward the ideas of democracy

You're missing the point. He won an election. The people in Ohio and Michigan and Florida and Wisconsin and Pennsylvania and dozens of other states chose him. Who are these elites to try and "save us from ourselves"?

This "we know better" attitude is what put Donald Trump there in the first place.

Is it a racial thing? I mean, quite honestly, if every Muslim in America moved to Spain tomorrow and immigration was completely cut off, there are millions upon millions of Americans that wouldn't notice one single difference in their day to day lives. I'm one of them. I don't know any Muslims, I don't have Muslim friends or relatives, and I don't even generally find middle eastern women attractive. It would have ZERO...ZERO impact on my life. The only POTENTIAL impact would be that the chances of dying in an Islamic extremist attack would be less.

Is that what it is? Are these "insiders" in the beltway more diversified than people in Michigan and Wisconsin and Ohio? I'm trying to understand.

Actually, it's this kind of pigheaded thinking that put Donald Trump in the White House.

But it's somewhat logical. It's true. It was probably the same during WW2 when it came to Japanese internment, which I believe was wrong. Hell, even J. Edgar Hoover said it was unnecessary. I'm sure to most Americans in 1942, they never saw any Japs and they didn't have a single difference in their life one way or another.

You might not like my statement, but it's true. I understand there are people with Muslim friends and families, they'd definitely dislike policies like that, but as far as many millions of Americans, months go by without seeing a single Muslim person.

"Is it a geographic thing? I mean, quite honestly, if every Republican in Ohio was rounded up and put in a camp tomorrow, there are millions upon millions of Americans who wouldn't notice one single difference in their day to day lives. I'm one of them. I don't know any Republican Ohioans, I don't have Republican Ohioan friends or relatives, and I don't even generally find Republican Ohioan men attractive. It would have ZERO...ZERO impact on my life. The only POTENTIAL impact would be that the chances of dying after banging my head against my desk repeatedly after reading a dumb post would be less."

edit: sorry Badger.
