No.  However college students should be allowed to purchase alcohol and special taxes on alcohol products should be abolished.

Alcohol taxes are fine if they're used to pay for damages incurred on public property by drunks or other alcohol-related costs.

Otherwise, sure.

Using that logic would you favor placing special taxes on black americans because that population has higher crime rates and welfare dependency rates than other groups? After all you just want to pay for damages and costs incurred....

An excellant point from the self proclaimed "whitest man on Atlas".

Thank you. His proposal smacks of taxation for the intent of social control.

Excise taxes fail epically.

I do. It means an argument which has a basis in reality. Really why not just stick to arguing constititonal law in the legal forum or am I confusing you with emsworth?

My point still stands then. You're consistently in favor of exise taxes so it's valid but  your argument isn't sound. THAT better? Roll Eyes

I should dismiss the argument just because of your quibbling. Taxation to try socially engineering people into not doing something is pure idiocy

No. It is merely a tax happy liberal angry that I would suggest cutting off the government teat slightly.

I do present valid points. You just ignore them and continue spouting theofascist tripe. Also I don't join bandwagons.
