This is the official thread for updates on Linda Belcher, the sassy old blue-dog running to reclaim her seat in KY HD-49. The election is on 2/20.

She lost by just 1 point in 2016 to crazy guy Dan Johnson. Dan Johnson killed himself (good riddance) after reports emerged alleging molestation and sexual assault of young girls and women appeared in the Kentucky media. Now his widow, Linda Belcher, is the Republican candidate for the seat.
Here's that story: https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/post-nation/wp/2017/12/14/a-lawmaker-accused-of-molesting-a-teen-killed-himself-his-widow-calls-it-a-high-tech-lynching/

Here's her campaign site, as you can see she is very popular on facebook:

Andy Beshear and Alison Lundergan-Grimes have campaigned for her, and it appears the full KY Dem apparatus is being used.

Shame on you for the first one, LOL on the latter name mess up.

I'd like to thank everybody that came with me on this journey. I'd like to thank Linda Belcher, whose soul has lifted Democratic spirits and brought goodness to Kentucky, and I'd like to thank the voters of Bullitt county, who put person over party and qualifications over sympathy.

Amen!
