The by-laws of the Revolutionary Communist Party are to read as follows:

Revolutionary Communist Party by-laws

Article 1. Membership and Voting

1. All people who have been registered under "Revolutionary Communist Party" or any variation of, or under the past monikers of "Communist Party", "Liberal Party", or "Revolutionary Federalist Party", shall be considered full members of the Revolutionary Communist Party of Atlasia.

2. All registered members shall have the right to vote, propose amendments to the party platform and to the by-laws, and to participate in party caucuses and forums.

3. All votes shall be held using instant-runoff voting with all voters ranking the candidates from first to last preference if so desired.

Article 2. Conventions

1. Revolutionary Communist Party conventions shall start during the months preceding each Presidential election.

2. All Party Conventions shall be held online, and during the convention, party business shall be conducted.

3. In the first and second weeks of the convention, the party is open to endorsements of elections during the month of the convention. In the latter two weeks, the party will be open to endorsements in the month following the election, should there be an election. All Revolutionary Communist Party candidates are auto-endorsed

4. Throughout the entire convention, the party shall be open to by-law/platform changes.

5. In the final two weeks of the convention, there shall be nominations for party leadership, with there being a vote in the final week for the leadership.

Article 3. Leadership Structure

1. General Secretary
a. The official leader of the Revolutionary Communist Party
b. In charge of the convention
c. Officiates Party voting
d. Is in charge of negotiating with Other Parties
e. Is in charge of party strategy

2. Deputy General Secretary (2 slots)
a. Takes over the responsibilities of the General Secretary should they be absent for 72 hours, or be on a leave of absence.
b. Is in charge of party recruitment
c. Responsible for leading the party in NPC affairs

My interpretation here is that Crane meant “registered voters” to mean “voters registered under the Revolutionary Communist Party.”

Muaddib, CalamityBlue, WestMidlander, Pieman, Beesley, and anyone else, you are more than welcome to participate in and comment on the convention however ultimately voting on any issue will be left up to registered Party members only.

See the by-laws: “All registered members shall have the right to vote, propose amendments to the party platform and to the by-laws, and to participate in party caucuses and forums.”

Adopted in Convention

1. The power of the banks, and the predatory lending practices which arise from them, must be curbed at once.

2. The mining of data for profit-making purposes is an assault on the liberty of the people.

3. The corporate fraudsters which permeate through the ranks of big business in Atlasia are deceiving the public and their lies must be exposed.

4. The assault of corporate tyranny on workers is a specter that haunts this country. To exorcise this specter, corporate monopolies, company towns, union-busting, unpaid overtime, and general greed need to be curtailed.

5. The surrender of power from the workers to the state, including all arms and ammunition, is a gift to the capitalist class and shall not be allowed to happen.

6. Bands of thugs, including the Ku Klux Klan, neo-Nazis, and other "white power" groups stand in direct contrast to the interests of the working class and must not gain any influence.

7. The struggle against oppression at home requires that we oppose all wars of imperialist aggression both here and abroad.

8. The state under the control of the bourgeoisie has no right to deprive us of our civil liberties, and we oppose martial law.

9. Our rights to speak, write, print, assemble, protest, boycott, and strike must be upheld.

10. The Revolutionary Communist Party stands with the working class in this struggle for socialism and freedom, and we must win!

I object to #6. Unless they commit any crimes (in which case they need to be prosecuted and charged under the law), no organization or political belief, no matter how heinous, should receive better or worse treatment by the government. The government being "against" 'white power groups' or 'neo-nazis' is an affront to freedom of speech and freedom of organization.

This plank doesn't encourage banning their efforts through legal means but merely taking a stand against that sort of ideology.

What does "taking a stand" mean? If it's in our platform it must correspond to some policy position otherwise what's the point of having it in there?
