Wow, I'm entering my third decade of life today. Otherwise not much of note has happened today (all the celebration happened yesterday).

Hey, everyone, I think I'm going to (permanently) leave the forum. I had a great time here, and I wish everyone the best in their future endeavors. Sorry for all my unfinished business, TL, etc. Some stuff has come up in my life and I think I need a major change in order to address it. I can no longer afford the luxury of spending time on here.

So long, and thanks for all the memories, friends!

Well there goes my plans to put you as a character in my timeline.

I'll always remember you as a great poster and friend, one who brought a unique South Dakotan perspective to this forum, one who fought racists and HPs while maintaining her spirit and humor. And I hope that even though you say you'll leave permanently, you'll come back with renewed vigor.

But don't rush. Your own life takes precedence, and self-care is vital. But I hope that you'll do well in this next chapter of your life.

My parents are holding me prisoner by refusing to let me visit a friend who moved to college (which is about 3-4 hours from where I live) earlier this month who is starving herself and considering suicide, so I'm really getting ing sick of their goddamn controlling bullsh**t. I'm extremely stressed out because I don't know if she'll be alive for much longer and I don't want her to go back to her abusive ex-boyfriend and I'm just extremely scared and anxious at the moment. Me and my parents used to have a good relationship, but now they act like totally different people. I have almost no way to get to her unless I want to spend money on an overpriced bus (literally would cost me $100 roundtrip and I'd need to pay for an uber to get to where she is)

Oh, and my ongoing mental breakdown is getting worse because of this Roll Eyes

I'm sorry to hear that. I don't know if this would be a good idea or not, but maybe try setting up a GoFundMe account to pay for that $100?

In all seriousness, I got an 1180 on my PSAT and now I'm scared cause the SAT is only like 2 weeks away and I'm afraid of bombing it.

Please god let me do alright I just want to get into Illinois State after 2 years of Moraine Valley.

Don't worry, I did quite mediocore on the PSAT before doing really well on the SAT. The SAT had more generous curves than the PSAT when I took it (I don't know if it changed yet.)

Anyways, as for me, Spring Break is over. Back to the daily grind!

So I'm going to be traveling to China on Tuesday, where I'm going to be participating in a study abroad/internship program in Shanghai. I'm so excited to meet new people and places, improve my Chinese language skills, and gain experience in the Chinese startup environment. I even started a blog about it; if you're interested in following said blog (or just want to see my face), PM me in the next few days and I'll send you the link.

That said, since I'm going to be in China I'll be taking a break from Atlas for the rest of the summer. Everybody needs to take a break from time to time. (Sun and Moon fans, don't worry - I'll probably keep working on it away from Atlas, so expect a big post dump in September.)

On the flip side, I spent most of yesterday assembling a desk from... IKEA.

Fellow Elizabeth IKEA customer?
