There is a certain logic to this map.  It contains only a certain type of person voting.  If we limited voters to a certain group, it would produce a map along these lines.  Can anyone guess what group it would be?

Since you guys were in suspense, this is a map of only Catholics voting and only Catholics who attend church weekly at that.  It's just an estimate, but according to exit polls, churchgoing Catholics were very Republican in the Northeast and South, pretty much a swing group in the Midwest, and Democratic in the West.  This is probably a function of the Hispanic vote.
