It would seem pretty silly to take a guy who spends most of his life in Thailand to Thai restaurants here in the states. We'd skip the hookers as well as most of the locals are nasty crackheads.  Instead, I'd show him (or any guest) the signature places of my hometown. It's all about the bbq and music around here.
