America would be a much more liberal place if we had racial homogenaity. It is the fear of "other" that makes us so conservative.
Not necessarily. Many people are conservative on issues like abortion and economic policy, which isn't related to race.

It's not supposed to be related to race right now , even though there are traces of America's racial past in today's economic climate. For instance, blacks and Latinos are poorer than whites on average due to past racial discrimination laws. However, we are trying to become a post-racial society right now, and thus future (as in the long-run) economic policy will likely not be related to race.
