Will the death toll in Haiti exceed that of the 2004 tsunami?

The tsunami killed about 230,000 people. We're getting numbers all over the place from Haiti. I doubt it.

I'm just at a loss as to why you would think about this, and then why it was so on your mind that you felt that you must start a new thread about it.

Just the latest natural disaster I could think of. People always compare things on here. Don't assume so much about people.
