For the GOP:

President: Rand Paul
Speaker of the House: Thomas Massie
Senate Majority Leader: Mike Lee (I have love-hate attitudes toward this guy)
RNC Chair: Ronna Romney McDaniel

For the Dems:

Senate Minority Leader: Bernie Sanders
House Minority Leader: Tulsi Gabbard
DNC Chair : Alan Grayson

The difference between Old School Republican's stated policy and candidate preferences continues to astound me.

I'll make a list of who I'd like to see in each of the major positions for both parties.

Democrats:

President- Al Franken
House Leader- Joaquin Castro
Senate Leader- Tammy Baldwin (I really like Schumer, but someine who can excite the base is needed)
DNC Chair- Jason Kander
DGA Chair- Jerry Brown, and then Jon Bel Edwards

GOP:

President- Jon Huntsman
House Leader- Justin Amash
Senate Leader- John McCain, and Susan Collins when he retires
RNC Chair- Susana Martinez
RGA Chair- Charlie Baker

-You do realize this is just a massive recipe for gridlock, especially on the Republican side? The Amash v. McCain battles would be something to behold.

Republicans:

President: Charlie Baker
Vice President: Condoleeza Rice

Senate Leader: Rob Portman
Senate Whip: Susan Collins
SRC Chair: Cory Gardner

House Speaker Candidate: Cathy McMorris Rodgers
House Leader: Greg Walden
House Whip: Ileana Ros-Lehtinehen

RNC Co-Chairs: Jared Kushner, Jay Dardenne

Democratic:

Pres./VP: Joe Biden/Kyrsten Sinema

Senate: Ron Wyden; Richard Durbin; Jon Tester

House: Henry Cuellar; Linda Sanchez; Ben Ray Lujan

DNC Co-Chairs: Howard Dean, Pete Buttigieg

-Most of that list inspires me to throw up. Wyden, Tester, and Cuellar are kinda acceptable, I guess.

Starting off your post by saying

and then following that up by saying

so I would totally dislike the democratic left

invalidates literally anything you ever say.

Why the leftist wing of the Democratic Party is socialist

I love how you say things that are untrue, knowing that they are untrue, yet you think no one will bat an eye at it.

Bernie Sanders is clearly a socialist(he even admits it) and Warren, Ellison have basically his views so they are  in fact socialist. Booker is not a socialist .

Define Socialism for us all.

Someone who believes that the government should have more say in how the wealth is distributed than the free market, and government main goal should be to achieve equality instead of opportunity. It also believes that more and more industry should be nationalized. Bernie clearly believes in all those things.

-I'm pretty sure some of the left-wing Dems would be actual socialists if they could do anything they wanted to. Bernie is, I think, a tad to the right of a standard-issue socialist.

GOP:
President: Scott Walker
Vice President: Mike Pence
Speaker of the House: Jim Jordan
Senate Majority Leader: Marco Rubio
RNC Chair: Paul Ryan
RGA Chair: Matt Bevin
Platform Co-Chairs: Ted Cruz, Rick Santorum, and Pat McCrory

Democrats:
Senate Minority Leader: Joe Manchin
House Minority Leader: Collin Peterson
DNC Chair: John Bel Edwards
DGA Chair: John Bel Edwards (doing double duty)

Being pro-life would be a defacto requirement for being a respectable citizen, much less in public life.

This is the best selection I've seen for the GOP and Democratic leadership. I don't particularly care for Rubio but otherwise those party leadership teams look great.

-I'm not a huge fan. Mostly oppose the GOP slate, am fine with the Democratic one (that's the best they could get, probably).
