Can we at least keep my thread about Ron DeSantis open? He’s a serious candidate and my thread was never intended to be part of the meme.

Jordan runs for Senate in North Carolina and wins. Then he ran for President and won thanks to strong black support.

Gonzalez runs as a moderate on the Trump issue, winning anti-Trumpers for his impeachment and generally those who are not slavishly devoted to Trump. He faces dozens of GOP opponents after Trump says he won't run, leading to a very split pro-Trump faction. Gonzalez finishes second to Ron DeSantis; however, neither has a majority of delegates. Ultimately, Gonzalez strikes a deal with the person who came third, Kristi Noem, to endorse her in return for becoming her running mate. She agrees quickly. In the general election, Kamala Harris is the Democratic opponent and is somewhat unpopular; as such, Noem/Gonzalez narrowly win the election (though they lose the popular vote). There are wild protests, since Harris won the popular vote by 2.9%. Right after Noem and Gonzalez are inaugurated, Noem is shot fatally by a disgruntled Harris supporter. Gonzalez is hit too, but survives. He is inaugurated as president shortly thereafter.

Karoline Leavitt (GOP candidate for Congress in NH01)

Leavitt beats Pappas in 2021. A constitutional amendment is passed lowering the minimum age to run for president to 25. Leavitt is elected as Trump's VP, but he dies days before the inauguration.

Nancy Mace.

Nancy Mace.

Tim Scott decides to run for president and announces resigns as senator in early 2023. Nancy is appointed to the Senate to fill Scott's seat, and wins the special election as well. With Scott and Nikki Haley both running for the GOP race it is clear SC will be the key primary that will decide who wins. Ron DeSantis badly wants SC to grip the nomination and Mace's endorsement is coveted. DeSantis says that if Mace endorses him she can be his running mate. They do so and DeSantis makes Mace the VP candidate. With two southeasterners from states bordering GA on the ballot, Georgia flips. Maricopa and Arizona also both very narrowly flip red. And Wisconsin somehow flips as well. So the DeSantis/Mace ticket prevails. However, just after election day complications occur when DeSantis is engulfed with scandal and the GOP distances itself from him. It urges electors from red states to vote for Mace in the Electoral College, and enough of them do so that no candidate gets the requisite 269 votes. Running mates are also split, since it's a free-for-all for GOP electors. In the concurrent House election Mace wins. However, in a shocker, the Democratic-held (51-49) Senate votes for Kamala Harris as vice-president. Therefore, on January 20, Nancy Mace is made president and Harris stays on as vice-president.

How about Julia Letlow of Louisiana?

COVID continues to ravage the country with new variants. Letlow runs a personal presidential campaign and blames Democrats for her husband’s death. She wins with sympathy vote.
