It depends a lot on the political climate. He's still a very good candidate, pretty easily the most talented orator in Congress and has a very compelling life story (watch Street Fight if you're curious), but more than any of his Senate votes the amount of sh**t that happened in Newark when he was mayor will hurt him the most, especially the horrendously botched Zuckerberg donation as well as some other minor corruption issues (very far removed from him, but this is New Jersey after all).
I would say today -- if approval rating polls are to be trusted -- it would be 60% odds on Booker. But he's definitely not the strongest candidate Democrats can offer.
