Will Trump keep his voters who voted against Arpaio in 2020 or not?

Do the Trump 2016 voters who voted for Paul Penzone still vote for Trump in 2020?

You kidding me, they loved this pardon! The xenophobics are Trump's base, nothing makes them quite happy then seeing one of the most anti-immigrant bigot be rescued by their god emperor.
Trump won Maricopa County. Arpaio lost. This means it took some Trump voters to vote out Arpaio. You seem to think every Trump voter is part of his base and voted For Arpaio. A few Trump voters did not. Trump did better in Maricopa County than Arpaio.

Very likely not. In truth, Trump probably lost them long ago - in my experience, Trump-Penzone crossover voters were mostly your run of the mill "just don't like Clinton" types - but this is the last nail in the coffin when it comes to his Maricopa base. Arpaio's name is political hemlock in these parts.
Could the Trump-Penzone voters in 2016 flip Maricopa County in 2020?

I'd bet my savings on it. I'd also bet my savings on those voters sinking Ward in next year's Senate GE.
What about the likely Class 3 special election in 2018 or 2020? Might this seat go to a Democrat?
