If Kamala was the nominee, the "Trends" we've been seeing would dramatically accelerate imo. Suburbs would swing even further d but rurals and wwc would swing further R.

As many Miamis and Milwaukees and Detroits you can name, there are going to be (if not a higher amount of) WWC cities that will either turn hard-right for Trump, or pocketbook vote for him because of the economy.

Kamala's optics of a corrupt prosecutorial career, establishment Democrat, and little-to-no appeal to moderate voters on any topic will hand Trump the victory.

...nothing you said is even remotely accurate. Moderates lean pretty heavily towards the democrats, and you’re an idiot if you think any city is going to turn hard right for Trump.

That was a very poorly worded question, and you know that.

Besides, I'm happy she doesn't support abolishing private insurance. It's not smart electorally and would be a disaster to healthcare.

One thing that should worry Harris supporters is that she doesn't seem like she'd be a wave-proof President (think 2022 and 2024, and if she manages to win a second term, 2026).

But is there anyone who is wave-proof in the field?

Did you mean "is"? If so, I second that question.

You are correct. I was typing this on my phone in a car (Don't worry I wasn't driving)

Maybe Pete, maybe Yang

But how? We don't know how well Yang's policies go over in swing districts/states, and I don't see what skills Pete has that Kamala or even Biden don't have that helps him.

This is more than the first day of her campaign right?

Yep. She raised half a million more.

The knowledge that Harris lived in Berkeley makes me like her less, to be truthful. After living in this town for a year I can honestly say that I wouldn't want anyone from such a degenerate cesspool to hold elected office at any level.

“The knowledge that Harris blinks, eats, and sleeps makes me like her less.” Grow up.

She'll distance herself from this in a general election, unless she wants to see if she can lose Virginia and Illinois

Stop trying to make red Illinois happen.

Illinois is a hyperbole but running a campaign based around reintroducing forced busing is a great way to lose all your recent gains in wealthy suburbs while picking up no new voters

Who said her campaign was going to make busing a central issue? Besides, I HIGHLY doubt that if Trump were to win re-election, busing would ever be the reason why.

The problem is somebody is going to need to actually go after Kamala's criminal justice record and there aren't alot of people I can see credibly doing that. Biden no way with his vote for the crime bill and already sketchy record on civil rights. I don't see Warren going after any women in fact I have a feeling the women candidates have a peace pact. Pete doesn't have any credibility with the police shooting & Bernie voted for the crime bill. Maybe Booker? But both seem close and have too much respect for each other.

I don't think that'll work. She's shown willingness to defend her own record on live TV.

Does that make Democrats feel good about Harris? Someone who will position themselves as more of a neocon than Trump on North Korea and Russia?

Literally all the things she listed are widely agreed upon in America despite foreign policy ideology.

And all of them are neocons

Pretty sure Gabbard and Sanders also think climate change is a crisis, think Kim Jung un is a murderous dictator, and don't trust Russia.

Harris just passed Sanders in the RCP polling aggregate. She's now 1.2% ahead of him and trails Biden by 10.8%. This is the first time in RCP's 2020 primary aggregate that somebody other than Sanders is in second place.

Warren also ticked up and now only trails Sanders by .2%

Pitt Steel, I find it a tad disturbing how devoted you are towards a politician. It’s creepy kind of

I’m not saying you can’t support someone or like them, but I feel like you are approaching worship status. It’s unhealthy in a free society.

I feel like if she ever became prez, you’d be one of those true believers who would spin every negative development

I’m literally no different than any Pete or Bernie supporter on this forum. I do admit that I have a strong admiration for Harris that can cause me to go a bit overboard. But it’s because I believe in her that I defend her so fiercely.

It was actually a week ago, when she said she'd eliminate private health insurance after saying she wouldn't do that earlier in the campaign. Of course, that statement walked back another earlier one where she again said she would get rid of it, so it was really a backtrack of a backtrack. Two wrongs make a right, I suppose.

Except the question was oddly worded. They seemed to ask her if she wanted to eliminate HER OWN insurance and she answered accordingly.

BREAKING NEWS: “Busgate” was overblown and nobody cared. Atlas was wrong... again.

But surely all these “woke” young people would be disappointed about her comments on busing?

Kamala isnt doing any favors by trouting Pete Bettigieg as a running mate. She needs to talk about Castro. Southern blacks will go for Biden, in SC, if she keeps talking about Pete

I’m praying this isn’t true, nor do I think it is. It has to be Tom Wolf.

Wow, she really said that?

Breaking news everyone: Russian bots invented racism!

Let’s stop pretending that Russia isn’t trying to skewer American politics.

How does someone go from voting for Trump to giving $1K to Harris' campaign?

Trump himself gave Harris $6k this decade.

Which she immediately gave away to charity.
