This whole thread, which exists to argue that Bernie supporters are actually libertarians.

No, Maduro is fighting a right wing coup just like the one that happened in Brazil.

Kingpoleon's posts are bad in subtle, artful ways. Look in awe as he uses two separate bad arguments to make an unclear point.

Just a reminder that Roosevelt could easily have ordered the death of all Japanese-Americans, and over fifty percent of the country supported wiping out everyone of Japanese blood.

At least Reagan's reaction to such a threat wasn't: "Jail all the gays!!!"

Just because you don't understand what two entirely unrelated points have to do with the conclusion doesn't make my argument dumb - you might not just be clever enough to understand it.

Macron is becoming such an egomaniac it's amazing.

Roll Eyes

Obama blamed Bush for stuff, and Trump blames Obama for stuff

Don't see what's so ignorant and absurd about that

No. You tried pulling some lame "both sides do it" nonsense when it's very clear Trump does more than just blame Obama, he actively tries to destroy everything he did, and based on multiple reports, he will make decisions just to be contrary to what Obama would've done/did.

Regardless I don't even f**king care about that right now because your cool, trendy right-wing populists are currently driving over people in my city.
It's funny because I hate fascists, Neo-Nazis, and white supremacists. So never EVER call them "mine"

Most self-described centrists would vote for an outright fascist if the right norms were respected.

The type of voter who is turning out for a Republican in an Alabama special election probably supports the Dred Scott ruling anyway.

What's so inaccurate about this

Shame we can't name this thread after this ass clown:

Well Trump signed the Republican bill allowing the mentally ill to own guns, so they're directly responsible for this in some respect.

I was hoping for a bipartisan discussion on how horrifying this is, but instead, I got blind Trumpets on one side going "ITS THE EVIL FAKE NEWS LIESSS" and ignorant San Francisco Democrats saying "ALL WHITE SOUTHERN MEN ARE EVIL INBREDS"

You're all disgusting. Shame.

One of the worst examples of "muh both sides do it" false equivalency/whataboutery I've EVER seen, and that's saying something.

That's not it at all. He just said he wanted to join a conversation about everything going on with the info of the investigation without having to read either "ALABAMA IS FULL OF RACIST-SEXIST-PEDOPHILIC BIGOTS" or "ROY MOORE IS INNOCENT"

Ideological third parties will always fail in the US

I believe this country can and should do better than a seesawing two-party dichotomy from now until whenever.

I totally think that a new party could emerge, but not on those lines. You could have a highly regional party that only contests House, Senate, and state offices in one part of the country, for example, that tries to dominate that region and hope to play kingmaker in Washington. A la the Bloc Quebecois a decade or two ago. That's probably the most viable route to third party power in the United States: a regional separatist/particularist party can be very effective in First Past the Post because it's concentrated all in one area.

A national third party is a waste of time unless it swiftly displaces and kills either the Republicans or Democrats.

Something like UUP or the Moderate Party, perhaps?

The problem with those, though, is that they are in states that heavily favor one side over the other.

What's wrong with that?

Oh, I think I see now. I wasn't talking about them replacing the GOP and Democrats. I didn't see that part.  I was just looking at Mikado's talk about a regional party.

Was that what you thought I meant?

I don’t like her, but I applaud Trump for having the guts to follow in the steps of Clinton and Bush, and appoint a female press secretary, something Obama was too invested in his boys club to do.

The Ottoman Empire was a very liberal place that treated Christians and Jews far better than Muslims were treated in Europe.

I really hope Al franken stays, because number one evan if the accusations are true their nowhere near serious enough to resign over and number two it would set a precedent that you can't just accuse are politicians of nonsense and expect us to throw them under the buse. Finally Joe manchin is one of the best senators democrats have right now evan though he's much more conservative then myself his strategies and tactics would really help democrats be more competitive in unfriendly territory.

Obviously this is in this thread because of the defense of Franken's actions, but the spelling is just something on the side.

You are so greatly underestimating communism's death toll for whatever reason.

This, and worse, is the cost we will all pay for the GOP nominating, electing, and refusing to remove, Kim Jong Trump.

The entire GOP is responsible for every murder and assault committed by a Trump cultist.

In fairness, there are over a dozen posters more "deserving" of that "honor" than he. ( still an awful post though)

I like the idea of a rotating cycle for the name of this thread.

DeSantis has a really good chance. The GOP is being emptied out to the point that the only people left in the party are mostly older, angrier, and whiter electorate. The 90s Bush era Conservatism is long gone; this is now the reactionary party of Trump. The GOP Establishment is unable to control the monster they've created, that's why they've been fighting back against extremist candidates like Roy Moore, McDaniels, EW Jackson,etc... There's nobody left participating in the party except old racists

Got another one for the thread:

What? The only thing wrong about this is that he left out “young racists” too.

Wrong thread, RINO.

Nah, I’m still right.
