Well, some of it is about whether or not to take as literally  true the entirety of the Biblical text. And Mainlines tend to be a bit more open to the notion that Torie types have perhaps some remote possibility of making it to heaven, despite their well, stubborn refusal to make the requisite leap of faith.

And yes, I don't know a damn about what I am talking about here. When it comes to religion, I just pretend.
