As I recall, Nixon's term ended while in flight on the Presidential jet to his San Clemente residence, and he was sent a bill for the cost of the flight attributable to the period he was in the air after he ceased being President.

Why was the oath given 10 minutes before Noon?

The newscast says none of it takes effect until Noon, and nuke codes don't switch until Noon.

The Benediction by Rev Silvester Beaman is one that I will never forget. It was sheer poetry in its text and delivery.

And yes, I was mesmorized by Lady Gaga's performance and interpretation of the Anthem.
