Biden is actually campaigning in Florida today. Note that Trump hasn't scheduled any rallies in Florida so Biden's internal pollsters believe it is within 5 points but Trump's polling probably shows Trump with a solid lead (at least 5 points).
The Biden Campaign will probably never admit this but Pres Biden is the most disliked Politician in the History in the State of Florida. Everyone can't stand him unless you a Nikki Fried, Maxwell Frost or the Castor Family (I think Biden Campaign in Rep. Kathy Castors District today).

His Job Approval in FL is in the Mid 30ties and that's saying something.

"investing" is doing a lot here; that insinuates the campaign is giving it the same attention it is to the main swing states. It's clearly not, but it's also dumb to write FL off esp given the abortion amendment and senate race. If they have some extra money, no reason not to at least have a presence.

We saw what having zero presence did to Dems in 2022.
We often say how much Trump energizes people & Democrats in particular to vote against him.

I will say this though: No one is energizing Republicans more in Florida then President Joe Biden. Every time he stepped a foot into Florida Registrations for Republicans spiked afterwards.

When he campaigned for Crist & Demings the week before the Election in 2022 Republicans had their best single Day in a Midterm Election in Early Voting ever.

Biden & Harris are just massivly disliked in that State.

Florida Republicans reached a 900,000 Voter Registration lead the same Day Biden opened up a Field Office in Tampa.

It's wave insurance and it's only an 8 or so lead, Scott is probably up 8 not 17 , anything can happen on Eday polls always over predict Rs anyways look at MC Trump +10 in NC no, the polls had a red wave in 22

Users especially Rs act like Polls were spot on they weren't in 22
It's not just Polls. Please explain how does Biden erase a 1M Voter Registration Deficit? Republicans will have a 1,000,000 lead by November in FL.

Florida is no longer in Bidens own hands. It relies on Republicans staying home!

Maybe they think RFK will help?

FWIW democrats have had a registration advantage my entire life in NC and it's done nothing. It does not correlate 1:1 with winning. LA, KY have a dem edge yet they lose by huge margins. AZ and CO were examples of an R advantage in headcount.

It's such a massive gap in FL that it would require some anti-Trump Republicans voting for Biden. I got the impression that wasn't the flavor in that state but I'm not the wizard of elections.
As you correctly pointed out Florida is not in the Democrats and Bidens hands anymore. It would require the November Turnout among Republicans to be extraordinarily low and Biden I don't think can bank on that.

At the Book Closing on October 19th 2020 Democrats enjoyed a 134,000+ Registration Advantage.

Breaking news: FL is a lost cause.

Still worth at least trying to force Trump into defese here. Every dime he spends on FL he can't spend in the 6-7 states that actually matter.
Trump hasn't spent a dime on Florida and I don't think he will. He's going to rely on the strong FL Republican State Party to do their job and they certainly have done it over the last several Election Cycles in the Sunshine State.

They are building for the future. Democrats know that they need more than 25 states where they can win a Senate race.

Imagine thinking that a few Biden ads now will save Florida Democrats years from now.

Is there a once-swing state that seemed like it was gone for one party, but then became a swing state again?
Unless the Florida Democrats can stop the downward trend with Hispanics in South Florida the State is gone for the forseeable future.

Cubans were always back Republicans no matter what BUT Democrats have now also lost the Latin America Hispanics like from Venezuela, Colombia, Nicaragua or Guatemala and President Biden coddling up to Maduro made matters worse for them + Republicans are now making inroads with Puerto Ricans.

Of Course Nikki Fried, the FL Dem Party Chairwoman will never admit it BUT the consistent attack ads mainly by Senator Rick Scott & the FL GOP labelling Democrats as Socialists are working. It worked in 2020 + 2022 and it's working now. Senator Rick Scott is defnining Debbie Mucarsel-Powell early in this Campaign with a barrage of negative ads.

Nevada
Yes and No. Nevada is a Swing State when it comes to State Elections like Governor, Lt. Governor, Treasurer, Secretary of State, Attorney General and things like that.
However while Republicans have come close on numerous occasions they haven't won the Presidential Contest in the Silver State since 2004 and they haven't a Statewide Federal Race (Senate) since then Senator Dean Heller beat Shelley Berkley in 2012.

Sure.  That's why I like to use the term battleground state rather than swing state though.  It hasn't flipped recently but it's been close/it's one of the states the election is fought in.  That wasn't really the case as much in 2008 and 2012, when Obama won it comfortably.
McCain and Romney were terrible fits for Nevada though. Trump with his Economic Populism was a better fit hence the reason NV was closer in 2016 & 2020 and will be again this year I think.

Meanwhile when it comes to the Governors Race in 2022 Lombardo took a page out of Ron DeSantis by hammering Governor Sisolak for locking down the State for too long causing a this economic despair & anxienty. Nevadas Tourism Industry took a massive hit because of Sisolaks draconian lockdowns during COVID-19 which went by far too long. Nevada is a State that relies heavily on Tourism.

Biden can win Florida.  Not to say he will, but he can.
Not with 1.1M more Registered Republicans living in the State since he last ran in 2020.

The State is out of reach. Biden & Harris will soon find that out the hard way.

@Progressive Democrat
Seminole County though is actually a County that's being trending Blue for the last Eight years or so.
Romney won it by a fair amount in 2012, Trump barely won it in 2016 and Biden won it in 2020.

With the DeSantis gerrymandered Congressional Map Democrats have no chance to win FL-7 (Stephanie Murphys former Seat now held by Rep. Cory Mills). If it had not been gerrymandered then D's would have probably had a shot given how Seminole is trending.

Agree and honestly Seminole isn’t that big of a county in the context of Florida; nowhere near enough to offset more problematic places like metro Miami and Tampa. There are a few pockets of FL where shifts are decent for Dems but it’s not enough.
The vibe I am hearing from South Florida in particular is that Republicans & NPA's are massivly upset of the Biden Admin dumping thousands of illegal migrants into their City and my guess is Biden is going to pay for it in November.

He dumped nearly 400,000 people into Miami since taking Office in 2021 without consulting the FL Govtm at all. Everyone not named a hard core Democrat is pretty upset.

If you want to cry, then cry

I love the "Hope Florida" Initiative! It's fantastic! I used to do similar things in my Country for people in need.
