Really bad. Gallagher was considered a future Senate Candidate to replace Ron Johnson.

That’s arguably the only A-lister name on the future WI statewide bench.

There are still trends favoring the GOP in Wisconsin, and the state will remain close at the presidential level. Gallagher is retiring only because he's being primaried.
Who else could replace Ron Johnson in 2028 if not Gallagher. This is a Major Blow for the GOP. The only other Candidate who is Statewide Material is Bryan Steil but he might not be an elected Officeholder by 2028.
