No, getting the bills on Monday would be better since Mondays suck anyway.

The post office itself should be open for sure, as some people don't have time to take off of work to go on the weekdays. I've had to go on Saturday morning a number of times to pick up a package since the post office closes before I'm even near home on weekdays.

As to actual delivery, I don't really care one way or another, so no I don't oppose it.

Ok as usual Dibble makes a great point....yeah home delivery who cares.....Sat office being open, needed.

Germany's postal service has just admitted to having halted (or rather near so) monday mail for july and august, without telling anyone aforehand. They'll be back to full service "after the vacations, when there is more mail."
Note that the spam-to-actual-mail ratio in the German mail is still a lot more favorable than in America.

Now that's a cool bureaucracy.  Just keep getting the salaries, but only operate 2/3 of the time.  Good economic policy and pleasant as well.

Yep, employers wasting money for no work in return....brilliant economics.
