Its interesting that most (all?) of the examples of Rs carpetbagging cited here are in CA. When I think carpetbagging, I mostly think Ds running in D districts having nothing to do with them. Examples include several Kennedys, Hillary (ok, a senator), and numerous local NYers.  


Who could forget Scott Brown carpetbagging to New Hampshire after losing reelection in Massachusetts (Senate again)?

Also I think the focus is on California just because it's an ERM thread.
