It does seem a bit odd that compared to other Republican incumbents Wagner's race at least 30K less raw votes. Or at least among those incumbents where results were reported.

Of course, primary turnout =/= election day results, but hmm.

It seems like in a lot of Democratic cities we're starting to see some changing of the guard/weakening of the old machine.
