American government should give Black Americans reparations and part ways

Reparations neither help to heal divisions nor are they a practical tool to fix ongoing injustices. In my opinion it's much more important to advocate for certain reforms, especially criminal justice reform, community work at the local level, economic development, promotion of black entrepreneurship, better policing, housing programs etc.

 This is pure nonsense,. You are describing resources that other groups of Americans have received already, simply including Black Americans going forward is not a substitute for reparations and does not make up for the economic theft of Black America.

What bothers people is asking random taxpayers who had nothing to do with slavery to foot the bill and try to play white guilt games with them. If anything it should come from the government not individual taxpayers. Look for slavers families and go from there

  Black Americans have a legitimate case against The United States government, many states, and several major corporations. What any other groups of Americans thinks doesn't really matter. It's also self-serving to say "it has nothing to do with me" but then interject a stupid opinion. If it really has nothing to do with you, shut your mouth! And if you don't like the American government and companies righting a wrongdoing go back to whatever country you or your ancestors came from.

I agree with you that Black Americans deserve reparations. However of the tone like yours, saying that people should shut up about it and stay out of it, that is where I disagree. Your tone. When it comes to the federal government, it's the American people's business. Especially if it comes to taxpayer money. It should come from slave owners families, not anyone else. After that, black and white America should consider separation.

 The American government, several states, and companies all had laws or policies that stole and/or denied Black people wealth. Black people are also taxpayers. When the government was subsidizing housing for White Americans and creating a wealth gap that exists to this day, Black people were paying taxes while being redlined. Your point is ridiculous! My tone comes from the fact that your personal opinion of reparations doesn't amount to squat. The fact you follow it up with some racist segregationist talk reveals why you find reparations to be so offensive while claiming you support it. Basically writing "give the Blacks some money, so we can wash our hands of them." Your post is condescending and stupid and then you have the nerve to talk about my tone.
