Bolton is probably thrilled that Trump is increasing hostilities with Iran. He refused to testify to the House and now is saying he will cooperate with the Senate, where Republicans will obviously shape the narrative.

Trump is guilty and that is crystal clear now. Hold anybody who will not hold Trump and his corrupt regime accountable yourself on Tuesday, November 3, 2020.

Trump really could shoot somebody on 5th Avenue and The Republican party would just shrug.

If Marco Rubio doesn't vote for witnesses he's pretty much a complete punk.

Jay Sekulow whining about Pelosi’s souvenir pens...

That’s all they got. They’re not defending Trump, they’re nitpicking the Democrats for the dumbest things. This is not a defense.

Their whole argument is that rotten Trump should be protected by the awesome power and importance of the office of The Presidency. Which is a very weird argument. If the office of The Presidency cloaks you in great power and deference shouldn't the occupant live up to that. Instead we keep getting the argument that Trump no matter how corrupt is above the law because POTUS.

Trump is such a an f-ing liar. I thought he didn't know Parnas? Now we have audio and video showing not only that he does but apparently he takes advice on hiring and firing US Ambassadors from somebody he doesn't know.

How is this impeachment even debatable? Trump is beneath the office of The Presidency of The United States and needs to be removed.

Trump is corrupt and also has no self-control. Any Republican that ties their legacy to Trump is a moron. They could acquit him next week and he'd do something corrupt or illegal that very day to be investigated all over again.

I think you will see Democrats and Anti-Trump voters energized in 2020 like nothing you've ever seen.

Enjoy your precedent, Republicans. I will be all for Democrats seeking foreign help to them win elections from the moment this fails.

Trump will be contacted by every corrupt and two-bit dictator in the world with no hesitation for corruption right out in the open. They've known that Trump is for sale and now they know that nobody in the Republican Party who "serves" in the American government gives a damn to stop him. Expect more corruption and more self dealing for Trump.

Republicans have sanctioned his lying, his obstruction, his self-dealing, his erosion and reckless abandonment of American norms and laws. This is how very bad things happen in countries that were democracies and slide into ruinous autocracy.

According to NPR

JUST IN: Marie Yovanovitch, the former U.S. ambassador to Ukraine, has retired from the State Department.

She was abruptly removed from her post in May 2019 and was a key witness in the impeachment inquiry into President Trump.

How sad that Republicans will not hold this criminal President accountable.

Of course all of this came out after the vote.

It wouldn't have made a difference. Nothing would have.

For real, we need to drop the pretense that any of Trump's corruption matters to Republicans.

This is why Biden's vision of American government is so stupid. Many of these folks are his former colleagues. Many of whom like him and his family personally and know he's a good guy. Yet they still would sell him out for an obvious two-bit conman that they know is dirty. A conman named Trump that would throw any single one of these Republicans under the bus to save his own skin.

Bipartisanship is dead. It's time to remove every Republican from office that we can and move as far away from their bad policy, poor judicial appointments, and corrupted morals as possible.

Schiff presented a masterful closing argument, it's too bad it was wasted on this incompetent Senate majority.

I don't think Trump had anything to do with Biden's result in Iowa but we shouldn't even have to wonder or speculate.

Kyrsten Sinema seems to want to cultivate this image of "maverick" independent in the tradition of previous Arizona senators. I hope this is all for show.

Romney becomes the first Senator to vote for conviction and impeachment of a President from his own party.

Trump also has zero self-control so he will probably be bashing Romney and trying to go after him very soon.
