There are no officials results yet but there is enough data to draw some conclusions.

1. Civic Coalition (KO) - PO + Nowoczesna (Modern Party) is a big winner in big cities. They were favoured to win the elections, but they have done so by bigger margins than 2014 and in the first terms. It is very good result considering PO and PiS were tied in the polls four years ago whereas Law and Justice leads by around 10 over KO right now. Nonetheless, PO's dominance from 2006 will continue to a large extent.

2. Both parties can be both happy and unhappy with regards to Voivodenship Assemblies. PO-PSL-others had 15 out of 16 majorities. It was in the time when PiS was less popular and they were helped by some voting patterns that might have added an extra majority or two for them. Initial results looked very promising for KO-PSL but as the results came in, their Sunday night's joy proved to be premature. Currently they are set for 9 majorities compared with 6 for Law and Justice. In the Lower Silesia the independents will decide whom to back. Łódzkie is a big coup for PiS.
