I don't know. On one hand, people here are tired of Feinstein, but they recognize that she has a lot of seniority and that benefits California. If Clinton were president, I think DiFi would be safe, but with Trump I think people want change, and de Leon has a lot to offer in that regard.

Most Democrats are happy enough with their Democratic representatives. De Leon doesn't have enough name recognition or organization to go toe to toe against a state institution like Feinstein. He's probably going to lose 70-30 in the general election against her.

Kamala Harris won Hispanic vote in 2016 over Loretta Sanchez, so I doubt De Leon is going to win over Hispanics just because he is Hispanic himself.
