I feel disgust for crypto-leftist le pen voters.....makes me remember why so many vile organizations came to power through a veil of social welfare promises and local organizing.

Yeah, it's such a replay of history it's ridiculous. Today is the Israeli holocaust memorial day, a day to remember horrors caused by another party running on the "socialist" label. Yes, I'm aware Le Pen is not as terrible, but anyone who can't see her fascism and racism is blind.
You sound like an American now. Pretty annoying to me as a European Jew. Who are the ones making life impossible for European Jews nowadays? Let's take a stand against them instead.

to be fair - and you know i respect your decisons - the actual americans on this board seem more likely to support LP cause of muh social policies muh and seem to ignore her other traits.

kind of depressing for me in general how uncommited to liberalism and democracy many democrats and republicans are - reminds me that europe must continue being united cause we are on our own and we are small and weak.

le pen arguing the french are not guilty of cooperating with hitler may not make marine (the "moderate" between her father and niece) a "nazi" but she obviously tries to dog-whistle nazi votes for....whatever....reason.

Let's not pretend like the future of France under FBM is going to be some shining beacon for Europe or something. It's going to be a disaster, and you can count on Panzergirl to be there to reap the benefits in 2022. There is no surest way to encourage the rise of fascism than keeping on with nice technocratic centrist Smiley Smiley Smiley policies.

i theoretically get you but.....wasn't renzi also kind of trying to break up frozen structures, which could have been good for the whole country?

i think macron is absolutely going to try achieving something similar if he gets a parliamentary majority.
