^ This. Although, Morales has run the country with pretty strict fiscal conservatism and presides over a government that isn't exactly the best when it comes to democracy or human rights. There are certainly areas for significant improvement, but he has taken a poor, highly unequal South American nation and returned it to the natives (stripping the "White" minority of many privileges), and made it a champion of indigenous rights and environmentalism (despite falling short on these fronts as well).
