Some concerning events in Leicester recently which aren't being 'elaborated' on by the press. Which is probably write damaging in the short term.

What's going on in Leicester?

Well yes but consider those of us who’d have to listen to his views on town planning!

What is the problem with his views on town planning?
Nothing at all in my opinion. I think he's got the right idea about architecture and urban planning in general.

Yep I agree

What's the point of the Truss premiership at this point? Her policy agenda is being shredded. If she were a reassuring and likeable John Major figure then that would be something she'd have going for her, but she isn't.

Agreed

BREAKING NEWS

Liz Truss to replace Steven Gerrard as Aston Villa manager.

Villa: "We will finish the season with more points than than the Tories will have MPs."

Are Villa doing that badly this year? (I get the Liz Truss thing's a joke, but if Villa specifically was mentioned, well...)

I see a lot of people on here have nicknamed the King "Brian". I get it's a joke of some sort, but I don't understand the joke.

PMQs not fantastic for Sunak this week. His Boris impression doesn’t really suit him. And when your closing line against Labour consists solely of attacking Jeremy Corbyn and his support for Hezbollah, you could be credibly accused of running low on relevant material.

Genuinely puzzling why he (or, maybe more accurately, those prepping him) seems to think reminding people that Starmer is not Corbyn will somehow be a winning line for the Tories.

Yeah, especially given not being Corbyn was basically what allowed the Tories to win the last two elections. Here they're officially ceding the only reason many people voted for them back to Labour.

From left to right, the people in the photo I believe are:

Fraser, Gillard, Hawke, Abbott, Howard, Rudd and Keating

Does this sound correct?

Interesting timing on that , since the court decision pertaining to potential referendums is coming soon.

What's the story about the court case on referendums ? I haven't Heard of it.

And what could the consequences be ?

The Supreme Court has ruled that Scotland can not hold an independance referendum without the UK Government's consent.

William Hague had a very good article and I think others have said it’s a mistake to see everything as either 1992 or 1997- the result could easily fall in the middle and is broadly what I expect.

If anything at this rate I think it turns out worse than 1997 for the Tories.
