I hope at least 2 to 3 other senators have the sense to realize this was not an infraction that at all affected anyone and to let me continue and for the witchhunt to end
Senator DWTL, you are completely right. C'mon now, guys. You cant be seriously considering doing this. This person was rightfully elected as the representor of the Northeast, and youre going to remove him for an infraction like this? The day he is removed for this is the day that a region has been deprived of its voice by the senate for no reason other than political power plays. I am here to support Senator DownWithTheLeft, as he has done his job, and is very active. He's just the kind of the guy (activity wise) that the senate needs, and he's the one you guys are shooting for? I really have to wonder the true motives of every senator signing this. Please members of the senate, keep this chamber one of integrity and honor, not of sly moves and self-motives.

One would argue that while he is very active, it is his proposals, and reaction to the rejection of his frequent proposals, that is indeed a turn OFF to potential Atlasians.

Nevertheless, I will admit that I have made consideration of my vote not on Constitutional violations, not on what's best for Atlasia, but on what I feel is unnacceptable actions by the Senator, and I can understand if some deem the arguments between us as personal.

I call for DWTL to address his behavior, if he can admit he has been far too abrasive, and that his legislation proposals have not been for the betterment of Atlasia, then my vote to expel will be no, and all this will be in the past.

I'd like this to be over, as much as the Senator and those who have stayed silent would.
With all due respect, sir, your vote should not be on the views of the senator, and if youre willing to remove senators on the completely legal acts they make in the senate, then you need to really re-think what youre doing. As senator, you are to represent your region, not stop the representation of others.

If his constituents still want him, after being expelled DWTL can just run in the special election to replace himself, and they can re-elect him.
That isnt the point. That shouldnt even be necessary. the point is the senate stand up and say "the man is doing his job, and we are going to let him continue to do so, no matter our disagreement on views", not "Because we dont like him and have an excuse now, we are going to remove him from office. Forget the people!" This is a matter of priniciple, Mr. BRTD, and I really hope you consider removing your signature from this motion.

I would ask that you read my statement more carefully... I indeed admit that my reasons would easily be considered personal, and rather obviously infer that I would be quite outside the bounds of my duty if I were to vote to expel him.

I have stated what I want to hear from the Senator, and I know the whole rest of the Senate would like to hear the same thing as well.

So as no one is confused about where I stand on the issue of personal vendetta and my vote, I hearby vote

Nay

on the issue of expelling the Senator from Tenn... err.... New Jersey from the Senate, I hope my statement does not make the Senator feel he can escape answering for his behavior, failure to do so will, in my opinion, severely hamper his chances of re-election.

My apologies. I wasnt sure where you were going with the last post. I agree that it would be nice to see where some of this stuff is coming from.......but it isnt worth expulsion.
