Mike Pence has terrible views, but is not an actual monster. Dick Cheney would eat the still-beating heart of a child's puppy in front of the child if he could make a dollar off of it.

Pence had no problem being the runningmate of a sex predator, defending traitors who thought nothing of selling out our country to Russia (and in doing so, broke his oath of office).  Pence is a far greater monster than Cheney.  Pence, like Paul Ryan and George Wallace, is a man who during one of those rare times when one side was unambiguously evil sold his soul to the devil and never looked back.  The fact that Pence probably knows better isn't a redeeming feature, it makes it worse.  In some ways, it even makes Pence worse than Trump.

While it's not an excuse, at least with Trump you could (rightly) argue that he's a mentally ill manchild who really should be committed to a mental hospital and treated with some sort medication (which is exactly where he'd be if he didn't have a rich father).  Trump is a sick man incapable of perceiving reality as it actually is, he lives in a fantasyland of paranoid delusions.  OTOH, Pence likely understands full well that irreparable damage may be done to the country and that millions of Americans will needlessly suffer due to Trump's policies (and die in the case of the Obamacare repeal)...he just doesn't give a s*** as long as their suffering advances his career.  That makes him truly evil and if God is just there's a special place in Hell for men like Pence, Ryan, George Wallace, Thomas Watson, etc.  Cheney did many terrible things, but Pence is a whole other kind of monster; there's simply no comparison.
