I don't agree with Publicunoffical on much, but credit where credit is due:

When do we get to hear about the part of the book where Hillary stops blaming everyone else for her screw-ups and takes responsibility for being one of the weakest Democratic nominees in recent memory as well as running such a horrible campaign that she lost to a serial sexual predator, traitor, racist, anti-Semitic, kleptocratic man-child?

She couldn't follow voters in the ballot box and force them to vote her. Blame the voters, not the candidate who told them the truth they didn't accept.
Hillary was supposed to hand hold grown ass adults and make sure their every wittle desire was addressed or they would stay home and let Trump win.

YES

THAT WAS *EXACTLY* WHAT SHE WAS SUPPOSED TO DO

IT'S CALLED RUNNING A CAMPAIGN HOLY SH!T

What's the line for occasions like this? "I am glad that he's gone."

"Oh, but he helped to make Americans more comfortable with their sexuality." Sure, but in a way that should make no one proud. I don't care how much money he put toward funding Roe or whatever.

RIP and so on and so forth, but please forgive my lack of excitement about watching as people creepily salivate over his repulsive legacy over the next several days.

Hugh Hefner promoted a particularly twisted form of masculinity that remains the ideal for many American men - and he brought most of us closer to living that grotesque ideal, too. To the extent that he "reshaped our culture," it was to our detriment. I don't think that it's an exaggeration to say that without Hugh Hefner, we wouldn't have Donald Trump.

New Mason-Dixon poll

Trump approval: 51/42 (+9)
Haslam approval: 57/30 (+27)
Alexander approval: 44/42 (+2)
Corker approval: 40/48 (-8)

Democrats are so stupid. They love everyone who says something even remotely anti-Trump, even when they vote with Trump over 90% of the time lol. I guess Republicans are the same way because all Corker has done is criticized Trump a few times.

Yup Democrats can be just as retarded as Repiblicans, as evidenced by these doofuses praising Corker even though he does nothing except b!tch on Twitter.

We're retarded in a different way though. Our mental deficiencies manifest in a more positive manner in wanting to acknowledge the better half of others. Republican retardation has manifested in supporting narcissistic demagogues, white ethnonationalists, and pedophiles.

Yikes. Dem internal poll has Ed Royce in CA-39 up 48-44. https://www.scribd.com/document/367450908/CA-39-Tulchin-Research-for-Gil-Cisneros-Nov-2017

Throws some cold water on the hopes of a California sweep.

It's been clear for a while that Royce is in a much better position than Issa/Rohrabacher.

I believe that if Democrats can't win his district, they're not winning back the house. It went to Clinton by 8.5 points, the most out of any of those OC districts.

And I believe you're an annoying troll who takes advantage of the fact that the moderators of this forum are too nice, otherwise they would have sent you where you came from.
If you want to be a good troll at least learn some basic things about how politics work.

Tim Ryan would be a terrible speaker. If Democrats win the House, there's no reason to give the job to a moderate Republican.

This post seems to have been misplaced, I believe you're looking for the Reagan Reservation.  Make a left and keep going straight until you get to the Good Post Gallery.  The Reagan Reservation should be two doors down on your right.

Edit:

Also:

Yes, I agree that Netanyahu, along with most of the Israeli right wants to find some sort of peaceful final solution to the Palestinian question that leaves Israel in control of all the lands they want.

I think there is some old Roman saying about that sort of peace?

God, the left really can't stop this garbage, can they?
I know right I actually think this anti Israel is only 20% of the democrats but it is way to high it’s super scary.

The idea that seeing this:

and saying (and thinking) it's not a good thing somehow automatically makes one 'anti-Israel' comes from the same sort of thinking that says shutting the KKK up is 'anti-freedom'. Facists and their sympathizers can go Trump themselves, no matter what ideology they pretend to in public.

Are you a 1948 rejectionist?

I don't even know what that's supposed to mean.

If it means that Israel is trying to slowly drive the Palestinians out of 'Israel' rather than come up with a decent solution, then yes, I think that's pretty darn obvious, and pretty darn despicable.

President Bill Clinton did have that decent solution in the form of the Camp David Accords, and the Palestinians (after Yasser Arafat rejected it) responded with the Second Intifada.

Screw them.

Some people have a tendency to outrightly dismiss any criticism of Israeli policies as "antisemitic" or "anti-Israeli", which won't solve any of Israel's problems.

I believe Jews absolutely deserves their own state, especially after putting up with so much crap thorough centuries elsewhere. And Palestine was the only place a Jewish state could be created. All other proposals (Canada, Africa, Crimea, etc.) would end up like the Jewish Autonomous Oblast: a grotesque failure. Beside, Israel is a reality, and "what if..." questions are academic.

Arabs made a lot of tragic mistakes (though in a large part Palestinians are paying for stupidity of other Arab countries), but so did Israel. I oppose dominating tendencies in Israeli policies because I'm very supportive toward Israel's existence and I fear these tendencies are doing great harm to the Jewish state in long term.

I haven't seen much evidence of bigotry here, except by some of the Israel supporters.

Well yes, wanting genocide against the Palestinians isn't bigotry, come on! I think the US should support Israel strongly, but it needs to also slap it when it tries to kill off a people.

If Israel is trying to "kill off a people", it's doing the worst job of that in any group in human history. It doesn't even shoot most of the terrorists who actually attack it.

This is what really grinds my gears about this. We have bilateral relations that are hurt because of this. Our standing with trade and security partners are hurt by this. Our reputation with potential new allies are hurt by this. This dimishes America. And you cocktwaddle buttwipes defend this crap because you’ve been reared in AM radio feverswamps and don’t get that “owning libz” doesn’t actually help you, it just harms everyone. Seriously f[ink] all of you cretins who mindlessly defend the orange idiot’s mouth excretions. We’re governed by a man child because you’re all man children.

Speaking as someone whose family is from Ohio, the only people who live in Ohio these days are the ones who don't have the good sense to move somewhere else. No shock that figure disproportionately includes Deplorables.

Columbus and Cincinnati are great cities, and Ohio is the best state in the Midwest

Menendez is legally on solid ground and morally indefensible.

I hope he gets more credible challengers in both parties thanks to this news, but I fear this effort is a political haranguing rather than a serious investigation (as was the Obama administration's).

Anyway, I don’t understand the Bryce circle-jerk. All Ryan has to do is run an ad about how Bryce is a dead-beat dad who didn’t pay child support until he ran for office and he’ll win by 20 points.

Why is Israel less deserving of a boycott than South Africa though?

I mean, you've been here awhile, we have these threads every 6 months or so (because fighting bigotry is taking a long time), how could you have missed them all?

Why Israel is nothing like South Africa - by a black South African

10 reasons from the Huff Post

But even if you think Israel is somehow a worse state than the PRC, Russia, Iran, Pakistan, S.Arabia and most African countries then supporting BDS would still be stupid and counter productive to helping the people you want to help.  BDS is a bad organization, doing bad things and run by bad people.  Some Israelie scientists were in Cape Town a few years ago, looking into the water problem they have (Israel is a world leader in desalination plants), the bigots at BDS heard about it and would have none of it.  No dirty Jew water for S.Africans thanks to the BDS.

Hawley isn't weakened by these comments. People will forget in days, let alone months.

I agree with that. After all, even Ronald Reagan had said that pollution was caused by trees. And yet, he didn't stop him from being a great President.

Yeah, Reagan was an awful President for very different reasons.
His foreign policy led America to victory over the USSR in the Cold War thanks to a strong diplomacy, to a reinforcement of the U.S. military through an increase of defense spending, to the Strategic Defense Initiative and to the INF that aweakened the USSR's nuclear arsenal.

Ignoring everything else, this is one of the silliest American myths about the Cold War. Gorbachev ended the Cold War, and no one else. Reagan and Bush just happened to be the folks on watch when  the 'enemy' sub sunk of its own accord.

Because Antisemitism is still widespread and the claim that Evil Globalist Jews are the source of all problems is very much prominent both in radical right-wing circles, and, in a more soft, dog-whistley style, usually relating to Israel and bankers, in radical left-wing circles too.

Thats just classless. If you knew what its like to be a child living through a long drawn out divorce (its a living hell) you would feel some sympathy for the kids before making a joke

And another one:

You know what a really annoying part about being a Moderator - I presume anywhere ftr - is that no matter how many times I explain my actions, someone always comes along and posts something that indicates to me that either didn't read a word I said about my actions, or read some and immediately ignored it / did not believe it.

At this point, I feel like I need to start drafting essay-length explanations for every single action, save them to my HDD, and just re-post in robotic fashion whenever this happens.

-

Short version: LL flat out admitted to trolling people, said he would stop on numerous occasions, but didn't. There are plenty of people who either disagree with the wave narrative or disagreed weeks/months ago, and I nor many others never had an issue with them. I'm not trying to create a bubble. I'm trying to maintain some semblance of order by restricting the users who wish to disrupt threads.

If that is "creating a safe space," then maybe (person) don't know what safe space means. Making a stand against hypocritical moderators or bubbles or w/e over LimoLiberal is the worst way to get your point across. This guy is/was a bonafide troll.

What is this, fifth grade? Everyone has an ass and the word itself is harmless and inoffensive. This is a silly complaint.

Except it really isn't in TexArkana's case.  He's been trolling and spamming ever since that thread last year when he started calling for the decriminalization of child pornography.
