I object to your amendment, but first we need to vote on the motion for a final vote that I made earlier to see if you can even offer this amendment.

You're setting a dangerous precedent by giving in to these antics, I fear Sad

Perhaps. But I'm having a hard time thinking of any logical reason for this bill to include alcohol while excluding tobacco and legal recreational drugs, and I don't like voting nay if I can't think of a good reason to do so.

I don't think the drugs are legal, just decriminalized.

Amendment:

Consistency in Drug Enforcement Bill

1. No municipality within Atlasia may prohibit the sale or consumption of alcohol, tobacco products, cannabis products, psilocybin mushrooms, dimethylytyptamine (DMT), lsysergic acid diethylamide (LSD), MDMA, or the plants or chemicals required for their processing including restrictions on the basis of which day of the week such products are sold. An exemption shall be provided for all municipalities under independent tribal control.

2. The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration shall create guidelines for adequate packaging warning the casual user of the danger of addiction, damage to health, and death due to abuse of all substances encompassed by Section 1 of this bill. All these products must have packaging meeting this guidelines before they can be sold.

Does this forbid public smoking bans? I support banning dry counties, but I also think public areas should be allowed to ban public smoking for public safety reasons.

You're free to do what you want with your body, but if you're doing it in public, you can affect others too, and you can't avoid second hand smoke, etc.

Yes, it prohibits public smoking bans Sad  That is one of many reasons that this bill shouldn't become law.
